ACCESSIBILITY ✨🪐
Accessibility is one of the core values of the Callisto Event; therefore, we have gathered information on this page about how we are promoting the event accessibility.
HIDDEN DISABILITIES SUNFLOWER -LANYARD 🌻
Entire Callisto Event -crew recognises the Sunflower-patterned lanyard. The lanyard signals the presence of invisible disabilities, medical conditions or medical challenges, helping others understand the need to give time and space for communication and action. With recognising the Sunflower Lanyard, we aim to ensure a smooth and less stressful competition experience for everyone.
Please be kind for the person wearing the lanyard by giving them more time and space to act 🩷

ACCESSIBLE WALKWAYS ♿️
Taking lessons from feedback received at previous competitions, accessible walkways have been provided to every competition arena. This ensures that individuals using assistive devices can also enjoy the competition atmosphere and watch the performances from as close a range as possible. An elevator is also available at the venue.
Please be considerate of other participants by leaving enough space to move around. For this reason, loitering or setting up camp in the walkways is prohibited 🩷

QUIET SPACE✨
The competitors’ changing room is designated as a strictly quiet zone. The purpose of this quiet zone is to allow individuals to calm down and find a moment of peace amidst the busy event day. Consequently, speaking loudly, disturbing others and restless behaviour are prohibited. The event organiser reserves the right to remove anyone violating this rule from the premises without warning. Please be considerate of others using the space and help maintain a calm, quiet atmosphere through your behaviour.

SAFER SPACE🤝🏻
Our event adheres to principles for a safer space. Every attendee commits to following these principles. The event organizer reserves the right to remove anyone who violates the safer space principles from the venue without warning. This applies to competitors, vendors, volunteers and spectators.

PRINCIPLES FOR A SAFER SPACE
– Respect. We respect other people’s physical, mental, and emotional personal space. We remember that we cannot know the boundaries of one without asking from them and we don’t touch the other without permission. If necessary, we ask for space for ourselves as well.
– Don’t mock, ridicule, belittle, ostracize or humiliate anyone through your words, behaviour or actions. Refrain from criticising appearances, gossiping and perpetuating stereotypes.
– Don’t make assumptions based on appearance or behavior. Do not make assumptions about anyone’s sexuality, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, values, socioeconomic background, health, or functional ability.
– Give space to others. Try to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the conversation. Do not steamroll others’ opinions, instead of that give them a chance to speak. Also, respect others’ privacy and handle sensitive topics respectfully.
– Listen and learn. Embrace new topics, people and perspectives with an open mind. View every encounter and situation as an opportunity to learn something new and grow.
– Apologize if you have offended others, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
